Layzie Bone (aka Steven Howse) was born September 23, 1974 in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a member of Bone Thugs N-Harmony with his cousin and childhood friend Charles Scruggs (Wish Bone), Anthony Henderson (Krayzie Bone), older brother Stanley Howse (Flesh-n-Bone), and Bryon McCane (Bizzy Bone) who is no longer in the group. When he was a teenager, Layzie met rap legend Eazy-E backstage in a concert. The rest is history. Bone Thugs N-Harmony are the only group to have worked with 2pac, Notorious BIG ,and Eazy-E. Total albums sales have passed 39 millon and counting. Layzie released a solo album this year on Interscope Records. We had the privilege of working on some of the tracks for the album while recording Wordz from the Street. Bone Thugs N-Harmony have also released a new album (Stength and Loyalty featuring Swizz Beats, Mariah Carey, Akon, and others) this year, to great critical and commercial success.

"Blessed are those who hear the words and follow them. It's a manual for rappers and thug people."

- Layzie Bone speaking about the Wordz from the Street project

"God bless you workin' on a plan to heaven
Follow the Lord all 24/7 days
God is who we praise even though the devils all up in my face
But he's kepping me safe and in my place save grace
For the case to race with a chance to face the judge"

- from Tha Crossroads
